4. Document Titles—Every downloadable document on
your website should have a proper file name. Include your
company’s name, the document’s title, and use hyphens
instead of spaces.
5. Tagged Images/Videos—Make sure each of your graphics
and videos is tagged and captioned (these are commonly
referred to as “alt tags”). This makes it easier for search
engines to pick up on keywords and include your rich
content in results.
6. Keyword Rich Content—Every page of your website
should consist of strategic and appropriate keyword rich
content. Don’t fill a page with lots of keywords just for
the sake of having them; ensure it is done in a natural
way. Google suggest that your content should have 1-2%
keywords. If terminology changes in your industry or new
trends emerge, edit your content to reflect those changes
to help drive traffic to your site.
