1. Two trails lead to Bridal Veil Falls, where hikers can walk behind the
90-foot water fall. Some visitors may prefer to use the overlook, conveniently
located near the parking area.

2. Sandy Beach is a beautiful public beach on the shores of Greers Ferry Lake.
With white sand and crystal clear water, it is an ideal spot for a fun-filled day

3. The Heber Springs Sports Complex features eight lighted baseball/softball

4. Historic Downtown Heber Springs features unique shops, antique stores,
art galleries, and eateries. Don’t miss the annual Downtown Christmas Open
house the first full weekend of November. www.downtownhebersprings.com

5. Spring Park is home to seven mineral springs which have attracted visitors
since 1830. The park has a skateboard park, playgrounds, basketball courts, 2
outdoor amphitheaters, public rest rooms, a pavillion, and picnic tables.

6. Greers Ferry Lake is a 40,000 acre lake, with deep, crystal clear water which
makes it ideal for waters sports, scuba diving, and sailing. Also known for its
superb fishing, the lake holds the state record for walleye and striped bass.

7. Sugarloaf Mountain rises 690 feet, providing a panoramic view of the city
and the Little Red River. An informational exhibit at the base of the mountain
has detailed directions for hikers regarding the four trails accessible at the

8. The largest population of Trumpeter Swans in the southeast United States
descends in an area just a few miles east of Heber Springs annually, November

9. The Heber Springs Community Center offers a state of the art aquatics
center, basketball and racquetball courts, weight room, fitness center, and
indoor walking/running track. www.cityofhebersprings.com

10. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers William Carl Garner Visitors Center
introduces visitors to the history of Greers Ferry Dam and the Little Red River.
The Mossy Bluff and Buckeye Trails, and the Mossy Bluff Disc Golf Course are

11. Construction of Greers Ferry Dam began in March 1959 and was
completed in December 1962. After completion, the dam was dedicated on
October 3, 1963, by President John F. Kennedy.
