First we divided our world by both time and place. Variations of
place changed from the traditional rotary club being in a fixed
location on a once a week basis to being in a myriad of different
locations at different times and time zones and yet still needing to
come together.

Virtual teams working together but spread across the world have
found that Intranets enable communication in spite of these
restrictions and in fact enable new possibilities. Possibilities
such as the inclusion of other organisations and use of facilities
not available whilst working in isolation are a reallity.

When we work together behind the screen of privacy only
informing others when all the issues have been ironed out we
delay our progress. If others are included up front then other
skills and resources can offer earlier success.
