RULES CONCERNING PRAYER IN SCRIPTURE:-
In the entire bible the gospel writers left us no clues as to the proper use of prayer
and it is wrong to assume that the penitent man can ascribe to a certain attitude or
manner of prayer by which he may offer petitions to the Most High.
1. There is mention of kneeling when one prays:-
1 Kings 8:54
When Solomon had finished all these prayers and supplications to the Lord, he
rose from before the alter of the Lord, where he had been kneeling with his
hands spread out toward heaven.
2 Chron. 6:13
Now he had made a bronze platform, five cubits long, five cubits wise and three
cubits high, and had placed it in the center of the outer court. He stood on the
platform and then knelt down before the whole assembly of Israel and spread out
his hands towards heaven.
Ps. 95:6
Come, let us bow in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
Isa. 45:23
