The Story of Juraij Youth Worshipers Don't Waste Mother's Call, Pray
to Meet Adulterous Women
i In the time of the Children of Israel
there lived a manyouth who is diligent in worship, even he is famous as a worshiper. He is
namedJuraij, a pious young man who left his trade to focus on worshiping God.
He was so diligent in worship that he made Juraij's mother angry. That happened when
the mother called Juraij, but the son did not understand his mother's call. Juraij chose to
continue the prayer.
"O Juraij, I am your mother, come and talk to me," said the mother when she called her son,
as quoted in the history of Imam Muslim from Abu Hurairah.
"Oh God, my mother and my prayer," said Juraij who chose to continue his prayer.
Her call was ignored, the mother chose to pray for her child. He prayed that God would show
himwomen adulterer to his son before death calls.
"Oh God, this is Juraij. He is my son. I asked him to talk, but he refused. Oh God, don't kill
him before you show himadulterous woman,” said the mother's prayer.
Apparently God granted Juraij's mother's prayer. Once upon a time there was a goatherd
who spent the night at Juraij's place of worship. Then there was a village woman and the
shepherd made love to him at the Juraij place of worship.
The woman became pregnant and gave birth to a baby from adultery. By the woman,
Juraij was accused of being the father of the child she gave birth to.
People came to see Juraij because of the youth worshiper has committed adultery. But at that
time Juraij was praying. The people decided to demolish Juraij's place of worship.
Soon Juraij came out to meet them. He smiled, caressed the baby's head and questioned
the figure of the father in the baby."My father is a goat herder," said the baby.
God granted the prayer of Juraij's mother who was angry because her call was not answered and
fulfilled her desire through the temptation of a beautiful woman who slandered her. At the same
time, thanks to his piety, the religious youth was freed from the slander of adulterous women.
The people who had demolished his place of worship wanted to rebuild it with gold and
silver, but Juraij refused. He chose to build it back from the ground as before.
