6.TECHNOLOGY CLUB FOR JUNIORS

The overwhelming need for technology to enable online classes lead us to start with our Technology Club
for all the students of grades 4 and 5. The Technology Club, headed by Ms. Deepa Bhandari and Ms. Monika
Rana encompassed classes on three levels:
(1) Training Sessions: Students were continuously trained to be able to partake online classes.
Demonstrations were given on how to use Zoom, Jio Meet, Google Meet and MS Teams.
Students were taught how to download and upload assignments in pdf form. They were also
given demonstrations on how to create google accounts and attempt assessments on
google forms.

(2) Enrichment Classes: New topics which were latest and beyond the curriculum were taken
up. These included Google’s Toontastic for creating animated stories, Canva app for
animated desktop publishing, Pivot Animator for creating animations and many more.
(3) Cyber Ethics and Safety: Workshops and Webinars were conducted on topics such as Cyber
Safety, Cyber Bullying, Be Safe Online, etc to impart ethics and safety training to students
since they have to be online for many hours a day.

The Road Ahead: We plan to begin a 2-weeks hobby course on Coding for all interested students in the
month of December.
