Imperative
                  Lesson 2
                                       Sentence




         What is Imperative Sentence ?

       An imperative sentence is a special kind of language that issues a
       request,  an  order,  or  offers  suggestions  or  directions.  It  is
       employed to make a straight, powerful message or to issue a clear
       directive. Imperative sentences often begin with a verb in the base
       form, which is also known as the imperative form. Some of the key
       characteristics of imperative sentences are as follows:
         1. They give a direct command to an implied second person.
         2. They usually begin with a verb that issues a command.
         3. Imperative sentences can be in positive or negative form, and
           can refer to present or future time.
         4. Usually end with a period or an exclamation point.
         5. An imperative sentence uses the base verb with no subject.
