 Provision of new earth pits:
Earthing is used to protect the working men from an electric shock. It
does this by providing a path through earth electrode for a fault current

to flow to earth. It also causes the circuit-breaker to switch off the
electric current to the faulty section. 49 nos (BPA-21 & BPA-21) of new
earth pits are provided in KZJ-BPQ section for improving the earthing

network during the month.

 Provision of Thimbles:
To avert the catenary strands cut inside the
catenary suspension clamp at the time of
tripping with high fault currents particularly

in monkey menace areas, RDSO issued the
Fig Thimble in Suspension clamp
provision thimbles in each location. Total in
1296 locations thimbles are being provided.

 Provision of Double cleats on platform coping :
There are many cases of Structure bonds getting entangled with
foot board of coach in recent times. To avert such incidents, division

has come up with the solution by providing the Double cleats for the St.
bonds on station platforms. Special Drive was launched to ensure the all

structure bonds at platforms for properly dressing and availability of
double cleats on coping of platform. Total 272 new Cleats has been
provided and all other structure bonds were ensured in
