           1.Modification of AAL/BT VCB by providing in Built pressure gauge
            TITLE: - Provision of in Built pressure gauge to check & trouble shoot in the

            cases  of  DJ  feedback  fail/VCB  stuck  off/VCB  Stuck  on  and  during
            schedule maintenance.


            OBJECT: - There are several cases of  pressure drop in VCB of  all makes.

            During schedule maintenance/trouble shooting of locomotive PRV/QPDJ
            pressure  setting  is  required  to  be  check  &  adjust  if  any  abnormality

            noticed.  In  SEIL/GEC  ALSTOM  make  VCBs,  in  built  pressure  gauge  is
            available with the range of 0-10kg/cm² and it shows the actual pressure of

            the VCB. Where as in AAL/BT make VCBs, due to non availability of in built
            pressure gauge, needs draining of air tank, isolation of Pneumatic circuit

            to  VCB  and  provision  of  external  pressure  gauge  during  every  time  of
            trouble  shooting/schedule  maintenance  of  locomotive  and  it  requires

            additional  man  hours/maintenance.  To  avoid  difficulty  in  trouble
            shooting/schedule maintenance, it is proposed to arrange in built pressure
            gauge in AAL/BT VCB with similar lines of SEIL/GEC ALSTOM makes VCB.
