community, students, program, place and leaders. We are pleased to report that we are already making progress: the much-needed refresh of The Foyer and The Pavillon was completed in October. Our recent focus has been on advancing NJC in tangible ways: through academic program enhancements, building our endowment, raising funds to support the all-important need for bursaries and scholarships, and bolstering alumni engagement. On this front, connectNJC—our brand new community mentorship platform—was recently launched and has been receiving rave reviews as well as over 700 members and counting!
As most of you will have heard this fall, after 25 years of loyal service, Dayle Leishman decided to change course, retire from NJC, and pursue a new career venture. All alumni and their parents, since 1993, will know Dayle and what a positive impact she has made on the NJC family and alumni experience. We thank Dayle for all she has done for NJC!
Thank you to everyone in our community for contributing so generously to NJC: for every admission referral, every gift to our fundraising efforts, every volunteer hour at our student recruitment events and now through our new alumni mentorship program. It all makes a difference. We honour the past while embracing change, and we continue to be inspired by what the school’s extraordinary future will bring.
