Those recommendations to the Board is what led to
the idea of applying for the SCTG-LEA when the
Request For Proposal (RFP) was proposed in May
2019. Instructional and Non-Instructional faculty
members will receive training on several areas, one
of which is planned to begin in March of this year. A
cohort of 24 staff members will be trained in Tier II
and Tier III Cognitive Behavioral Therapies to
support our students experiencing significant and
various levels of trauma. Additionally, the
Elementary & Middle Schools Mental Health
Services Pilot Initiative will be launching in the
upcoming weeks to help support those students and
families in our community. A link to the

The last update in this issue is centered on the
upcoming materials required for reading before the
February 19, 2020 Faculty Meeting at Teaneck
High’s Cheryl Miller-Porter Student Center on the
3rd Floor. This meeting is designed to be an activity
in healthy and informative dialogue about the
materials you will have access to reading prior.

There will also be the first of many surveys we will
engage to provide feedback to presenters,
information, as well as gather information to guide
our practice(s). Reflective Practice is a wonderful
way for professionals to gauge the ‘pulse’ of their
work. Seeing our reflection through the data will
allow us to make better informed decisions. Please

handouts.
