The Californian has won four out six races, including a
perfect weekend in the last round at VIRginia International Raceway, on his way to an astounding first place in the championship. He’s been the only Superstock 1000 rider that has shown the ability to run with some of the top Superbike competitors on multiple oc- casions, most notably at the opening race of the season in Texas. >>

Fong’s confidence will be at an all-time high
at the start of the fourth round of the series in Wisconsin after running in the lead group in the last round at VIR for almost the entirety of the opening race, propelling him to the double vic- tory. He’ll be aiming to extend his fifteen point lead in the championship by grabbing a couple more wins at Road America and he’ll be on of the favorites to do so considering his domi- nance of the Superstock 1000 class thus far.
Fong started the weekend off with a solid pace just as he’s done throughout the entire year thus far, ending Friday’s sessions as the fifth fastest rider overall. He transferred that speed into Superpole, but his pace was hindered by unusual tire degradation caused by overheat- ing. Nonetheless, the Californian salvaged everything that he could and put his Kawasaki ZX-10R in the middle of the third row with
the eighth fastest time overall. In the opening race, Fong got a solid jump into the first corner as he forced his way past the TOBC Racing Yamaha of Danny Eslick. The two of them were joined by Mathew Scholtz as the battle for the Superstock 1000 podium unfolded on the track -- Fong commanded the pace of the group for the majority of the race as him and Scholtz eventually broke away from Eslick, sparking a four wheel battle of their own. >>
