RJ HAMPSHIRE
RJ is one of the future
talents of Supercross. He
is on his way to a solid ca- reer and will be on the top spot soon enough. Hamp- shire had a scary crash
in the Red Bull Straight Rythym last fall, where he went over the bars and suffered a serious brain
injury. RJ was in state
where dirt bikes were the
last thing on his mind, as
his future health seemed
to be in question. Luckily
he recovered faster than expected and was able to make into the 2016 250
East series. Now, some
rookie jitters are still being shaken off in his sopho-
more season, but RJ is gaining the much-needed experience as each week passes. The Geico Honda rider has the talent, moti- vation and equipment he needs to be a contender
for the win. RJ started his >> East Coast season off
pretty well finishing 6th
overall in Atlanta. Unfortu- nately, his next races were
not as good, but he still
sits 7th in points coming
into Indy. RJ is healthy
and back racing his dirt
bike and considering the circumstances, that is as
good as winning for the
Honda rider. Hampshire
will regain his speed and confidence and be back at
the top soon.
