PHIL NICOLETTI
Since his pro debut in 2006, Phil Nicoletti has been a perfect example of a gritty privateer. His journey through the
pro ranks hasn’t been perfectly smooth but Phil has persevered and continues to pursue the dream. Luckily, Phil has a ton of raw speed and a drive to do well. Now, he has joined
the very short list of non-champions who ride factory bikes. Phil has put in some com- mendable results and
is starting to become
a household name because of it. Over the last year, he has proved over and over that he
is more than deserv-
ing of his JGR Yamaha >> ride by achieving some
very impressive results.
Earlier this year in
Supercross, Phil put in
some great rides on his
fill-in deal with Yamaha
where he would put on performances compa-
rable to his teammates.
Now it seems Phil will
be a big part of the Mo- tocross series in 2016.
He came out swing-
ing just a week ago at
the season opener at Hangtown and was able
to finish 11-9 for 10th
overall. This weekend
will be a proving ground
for Nicoletti to get back
inside that top ten and
show it wasn’t a fluke.
