Blake Baggett is one of the most determined motocross racers to ever grace the series. When things get rough and tough, you can count on a select few riders, including Blake, to get even better. This is why he is a past motocross champion and is always contending for the number one spot. Blake finished 4th overall in the 450 class last season and is ready to build on that this season despite a crash at the opening round last weekend. Blake was riding awesome in typical “El Chupacabra” fashion all day including a charge
to 3rd in the first moto where he passed many championship contenders. Unfortunately, he suffered a crash late in the second moto but was still able to get up and complete the last 4 laps to salvage 19th. When Blake crossed the line, he realized the pain was worse than he thought. He soon discovered he had broke his collarbone and was absolutely devastated. Super tough break for Baggett as he proved he was going to be a contender for 2016. Amazingly enough, Blake underwent surgery just a couple days after Hangtown and will be lining up for Glen Helen.
