Is it too soon to label Dungey
a living legend in our sport? Winning an ESPY, having a personalized SportsCenter segment, and covering the “Wheaties” box alongside greats such as Michael Jordan, Walter Payton, and Bruce Jenner (Well present-day “Caitlyn”, however you want to classify that), are all items Ryan has on his resume.
These types of accomplishments are much bigger than our realm of the
motocross world. Because lets be honest, what us passionate fans see in our sport, the majority of America does not, and Ryan is doing a fantastic job of bridging the gap into mainstream attention.
His success off the track is heavily rivaled
by what he’s done on the SX landscape. Three wins and two runner-ups’ are nothing short of phenomenal, especially considering the murderer’s row of competition he’s had to face during the 2016 campaign. Dungey looks to keep the ball rolling as we head into San Diego’s sequel, and unleash havoc on the rest of the field.
