TREY CANARD
The Honda rider has unfortunately been diagnosed with another season full of heartbreaks and disaster, but continues to rally and display strength that show his true color, red. Red, the color of his native Oklahoma clay, bike brand, and even hair, but most importantly his character; full of energy and inner-fire, its given light to his darkest
days, prevailing him on the other side.
A team green rider through most of his amateur career, Trey was seen as a pudgy, fun-loving kid with talent, but missing the critical piece that the top of his class displayed. In arguably one of the most talented age divisions ever, Canard was overshadowed by riders such as Austin Stroupe, Nico Izzi, and Zach Osborne, among many others.
Minibike success doesn’t always translate to professional stardom, and Trey is a perfect example of that. Once he stepped into the B class, Canard was given the confidence needed to leap forward and over the woes of his early years, resulting in four titles his last two years at the ranch, and a factory contract.
Every outsider looking at Trey knows the speed and talent he harnesses. If he could channel that momentum, and put full focus into executing each stage of the race, there’s no doubt he could claim more professional championships. Until then however, we must wait, and see how the number 41 will rebound, as he has done far too often before.
