found himself sandwiched between the Yamaha of Grant Harlan and the Kawasaki of Seth Hammaker, but that didn’t last long. Brown forced himself into the lead on the very next lap and immediately began to check out at the front of the pack, holding Hammaker at bay for the remaining three laps until the checkered flag. He crossed the finish line with an advantage of just over four seconds, subsequently securing an excellent gate pick for the main event. Brown put the gate pick to good use in the main event and launched down the massive start straight to another second place start, settling in behind Hammaker on the opening lap. He matched the speed of the Kawasaki rider throughout the early stages of the race before finally pouncing on the lead with only a couple of laps to go, subsequently putting the hammer down as he attempted to pull away. He laid down a torrid pace and clocked the only lap time of the weekend under the one minute mark, building an advantage of more than eight seconds by the time he met the checkered flag as the victor. In the Open A class, Brown encountered a similar obstacle in the heat race as he pulled a third-place start. He didn’t panic and continued to press forward for the
