With an uncharacteristic gate choice, osborne seemed lethargic off the start and was shuffled to mid pack around the first few corners. With the crowd on their feet and
gasping, a pile-up ensued and osborne was taken as a victim, slow to get up. Nursing his left arm, he staggered to the asterisk medical mule, and sat down, disgusted with a result of a night he’d rather forget. His worst result of the year, the DNF most likely puts him out of championship contention, something that seemed within grasp to him.
