Vinny Luhovey competed in the 250 B, 250 B Limited, and 250 All-Star A/B classes at the High Point re- gional. He had his best results in the All-Star A/B class where he finished 2nd overall. The Pennsylvanian had a bit of bad luck in his other 250 B classes, missing out on valuable track position due to poor starts in challenging track conditions. He was running 5th in the 1st 250 B Limited moto up until the last lap where
he made a mistake and dropped all the way down to 17th position, badly skewing his overall finish. Therefore, the 7th and 6th that he scored in the following motos weren’t enough to put him in a qualifying position. Yet again, he narrowly missed out on a qualifying position in the 250 B class after a stellar 2nd place in the opening moto. He struggled to a 10th place finish in the mudfest of a 3rd moto and that was just enough for him to miss out on Loretta’s by just 1 position. Luhovey rode superb in the All-Star A/B class, finishing between Team Green’s Kobe Heffner and Joey Crown on the overall podium. He finished in the top 5 in every single moto, putting in consistent rides and grabbing good starts to earn one ticket to The Ranch later in the summer. Luhovey will be looking to qualify in the classes he missed out on at the fast approaching Doublin Gap qualifier in his home state of PA.
