The 65cc (7-11) class was his most consistent performance of the weekend, where he chose to lay his cards on the table and announce that deuces were wild, flashing three of a kind with all 2’s. Overcoming bad starts and traffic jams, he saw the 329 in the foreground of every moto and made an extraordinary effort to capture the crown of king, but unfortunately came up just a tad bit short;
nonetheless, a remarkable effort.
Despite his small stature, Ryder chose to saddle up on the back of his Kawasaki 85, and pour the coals to her, twisting the throttle for all she had. Bar banging with stars such as Maximus Vohland and Chance Hymas, he remained steady and willing to throw elbows with the elders of his class. Placing as high as second in the first moto of the 85cc (9-12) year old division, DiFrancesco came away with a third and fourth overall in unfamiliar territory (85 9-11 Limited as well). The way he was able to adapt to the large machine without hesitation is something that team owners take notice of, and a quality that many of today’s brightest stars hold in highest regard.
