while Allred, and Astudillo would finish second and third, respectively. For the second division, all eyes were on Hannah Hodges, and she would deliver. It was an open mic, and she hit every note to perfection, captivating the crowd with a theatrical performance. Jazzmyn Canfield, second, was doing all she could to keep Hodges within her means, but it wasn’t in the cards. The final running order would be Hodges, Canfield, and Shelby Rolen placing third. It was now time for the main event, and as the referee checked off each rider on the line, they all looked toward the metal bracket with atten- tion. It would fall, Hodges would hit her shifts perfect- ly. Hannah Hodges, taking note from her Supercross training, was landing off a few of these step-ups, with her inside foot out, seem- ingly taking a step of transi- tion out of the equation. Always prepared for the next step, she would have to be ready for a charge, as Jordan Jarvis was closing in. With the heat sensor beeping, Jarvis’ watchful eye began to zero in, and
it all looked like it would come to fruition on the last lap. Jarvis, would drop an astonishing three seconds, off of Hodges’ fastest time closing to within a second by the final stripe. But Hodges rode her own race, never fearing the thought of Jarvis behind her. She would go on to win, with Jarvis just behind. Hodges felt unbelievable, taking
a title in her home state, making all family and friends ecstatic.
