One of the most highly anticipated clashes of the week, was between the amount of champions and highly touted pilots who signed up for the Supermini 1 (12-15) class. With names like Reynolds, Leblanc, Myers, and Chambers, the list could go on for days. Of course, there were usual heavy favorites, but this division provided a gem for all fellow racers and fans alike. For the first division, you could see trucks, parked along the roadways in which the fences lined, as they eagerly awaited the sights of the riders, to accompany the echo’s they heard throughout the distance. As the noise grew clearer, the mirage of a green blur proved real, with Minnesota’s Jayden Clough pulling the field along to begin heat number one. Relaying signals to his mechanic, a simple head nod was given by the number 45, to his mechanic, when landing the finish line for lap number one. He knew he could sustain this pace, as long as Chambers and Crockett Myers stayed at bay. They would do so, Clough would rip off a 2:01, making the Kawasaki bark throughout the gulley’s of Gatorback.
