JEREMY MARTIN
Jeremy Martin is one of the best motocross racers we have seen in recent years. Throughout his past two championship-winning seasons, he has showcased his unbelievable late race speed en route to many come from behind wins. He has a style very similar to that of Blake Baggett a handful of years ago where he just kind of waited inside and around the top ten until halfway through the moto before “dropping the hammer.” It never ceases to amaze because early in motos it appears as if Martin is struggling and he may actually lose a few positions but then all of a sudden he will drop his lap times
by four seconds. It’s certainly a fascinating style and is a joy to watch. So far in this 2016 season we haven’t really seen that same late race speed we have been accustomed to seeing. He looks like a normal racer out there putting in solid laps each time around not really blowing anyone away. He snagged one of the first four motos so far this year but his brother is actually the one in the points lead! Despite being fourth in points, Martin is still only a mere four points back from his older brother Alex. It sure looks like this 250 championship is building up to be a historic one.
