MITCHELL HARRISON
Mitchell Harrison is a lightning quick rookie with the Star Racing Yamaha squad. Harrison emerged on the pro scene this year after an impressive amateur career winning the premier 250 A title at Loretta Lynns last year. That is really when everyone took him seriously and
began anticipating his jump to the pro ranks. His first supercross season was one he would likely want to for- get as he struggled all year long. He had the speed in qualifying practice and looked good early in races but could not keep it on two wheels even missing a few rounds with a concussion. He was riding well around the top five at a couple rounds
but those crashes really muddied his results column. Harrison looked forward to the start of the outdoor series and actually charged into second past now points leader Alex Martin in moto two of the season opener before the race was red flagged. That had to have been devastating for the young gun as he looked ready to fight for a strong finish. Glen Helen went fairly well and he was able to finish tenth even climbing up to eighth at one point. If Harrison can get a holeshot like he did in that red flagged moto at Hangtown, look for him to be aggressive and hold his own at the front.
