The 2016 Supercross season has been solid for the amateur phenom. Making every main event so far and always getting his Smartop MotoConcepts team some TV time with his impressive starts. Ultimately, promoting sponsors is the goal for every team in the pits. Unlike the majority
of the teams in our sport, MotoConcepts has a unique approach to the races. Instead of sticking to one series and racing every round, they chose to mix it up this past season. Racing the Canadian Nationals, a select few Lucas Oil Pro Motococrss nationals and even a couple MXGP races over seas. This is the first time we have seen a team
do something like this. The main focus on competing in multiple series worldwide is to promote their team and sponsors that contribute to the team. With the series heading to Canada this weekend, there will be some Mike Alessi fans in the stands as he is no stranger to “the true north”.
