KAEDEN AMERINE
Kaden Amerine’s stock rose at the end of the 2017 season as the Kansas native won his
first Loretta Lynn’s National Championship and placed second overall in the Supermini class
at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas. The Ride Unlimited BTO Sports Amateur Racing backed rider has sustained his stellar form throughout the end of 2017 and into the new year. Amerine won a title in the supercross por- tion of Mini Os to end the year and he quickly found the top step of the podium in 2018 at
the Monster Energy Amateur Supercross in At- lanta. He also found the podium at the Daytona RCSX in the highly competitive Supermini 2 class and then he did it again at Spring A Ding Ding just a couple of days later. Although Am- erine had a challenging week at Freestone, he still managed to keep his overall results within the top ten and he quickly bounced back in his home state of Kansas for the AMA Arenacross. Amerine finished second during the night show in the AMSOIL Supermini Dominator class and he won both Supermini classes on the amateur day afterwards.
HAIDEN DEEGAN
Haiden Deegan has made a name
for himself both on and off the track throughout his short amateur career. The Orange Brigade rider put himself on the top step of the podium at Loretta Lynn’s for the first time in his career at the end of 2017, dislodging the prover- bial monkey from his back. The new year has been kind to the Team Dunlop Elite rider as well as he earned a total of four titles between Spring A Ding Ding and the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship. He moved onto the final spring race in his home state at Pala Raceway, home to the 2018 FMF California Classic. Deegan entered two 65cc classes and two 85cc classes, finishing no worse than second in any of his motos. Despite the second place results, he ended up on the top step of the podium the majority of the time and took the lion’s share of hardware at the end of the weekend. Deegan claimed
a championship in all of his classes but one and won eight out of twelve motos that he raced, continually proving his dominance throughout the weekend.
