DREW ADAMS
Drew Adams is currently one of the most exciting riders to currently break through the mini classes of amateur motocross. It was only last year that
the Tennessee native was winning championships in the 51cc class at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch and he’s already battling for podiums in the 85cc divi- sions, showing rapid improvement in a very short period of time. Additionally, he was one of the standout riders in the 65cc classes throughout spring events, striking first at the Daytona RCSX with a heat race win in the (7-11) division and a number one plate in 65cc (7-9). Ad- ams made the move to Freestone with his confidence soaring sky high after
an exceptional weekend in Florida. The EBR Performance backed rider had his most successful showing of the season in Texas at the JS7 Spring Champion- ship, winning two number one plates on his CX65 as well as a championship aboard his YZ85
KADE JOHNSON
Kade Johnson backed up his elec- tric start to the 2018 racing season with more podium success at the 2018 FMF California Classic at Pala Raceway. The Team Dunlop Elite rider entered three 65cc classes and two 85cc classes, finding the rostrum in each and every one of them. His greatest achievement throughout the weekend came in the 65cc (10-11) Limited class as he beat the competi- tion to first overall by way of fourth, second, and first place moto finishes. Johnson kept the momentum up in the remaining 65cc classes as he only finished off the podium on one occasion, earning two second place overalls to pad his starts throughout the weekend. Although he’s still fairly new to the 85cc ranks, the Texas native was performing like a true veteran aboard his YZ85. He never finished worse than fifth place and his consistency in the (9-11) Limited class earned him a third place overall, ulti- mately raising his confidence heading into the Loretta Lynn’s qualifiers just around the corner.
