MAXIMUS VOHLAND
Maximus Vohland has shown his speed in the Supermini division throughout the opening portion of the 2018 racing season, putting a target on his back moving into the 2018 FMF Cal Classic. The Californian looked mighty comfortable in his home soil as he finished all six of his motos within the top three, adding a total of two victories to his win column. The Team Dunlop Elite athlete is always one of the most stylish riders on the track and continued to showcase his skills throughout the weekend at Pala Raceway in SoCal. Vohland managed to come away with the title in both Supermini divisions due to his blazing speed and outright consistency from start to finish, doing everything neces- sary in order to leave the weekend with two number one plates. The Orange Brigade backed rider has been on a streak since moving up to the Supermini division, collecting a number one plate or an overall victory at every event that he’s attended since Loretta Lynn’s last year. Any- one who has seen Vohland tear up the track this year would be a fool to bet against him breaking the streak anytime soon.
TAYLER ALLRED
Tayler Allred collected her fair share of titles throughout the month of March, whether it be at Spring A Ding Ding or
the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship. The newly recruited Team Dunlop Elite rider has earned her stripes in valiant fashion in recent years, winning multiple Loretta Lynn’s Championships as re- cently as 2017, beating out Jordan Jarvis and Jazzmyn Canfield. The Utah native showed up at the 2018 FMF California Classic in tip-top form with a couple of titles freshly perched in her rearview mirror, aiming to add another one to the collection. Allred also showed her speed in the Supermini division as she battled against the boys, finishing eighth overall in the (13-16) division. In the Womens AM (12+) class, Allred finished all three of the races that she contested on the po- dium. She wasn’t able to exude the same level of dominance that she did at Spring A Ding Ding or the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship, but she still managed
to come out with an impressive second overall finish. Allred won the third moto in exceptional fashion on her underpowered Supermini, but it wasn’t enough to award her the title. Nonetheless, she has proven her speed time and time again through- out the year and she’ll be one of the favorites to win at any race she chooses to attend for the rest of the season.
