Hailing out of Alaska, Ben Lamay has already seen the ups and downs of the outdoor championship series but charges on week in and week out despite any shortcomings. As a matter of fact, it wasn’t until two weeks before the season that Lamay was even offered a ride by the Blue Buffalo/Slater Skins Yamaha squad. Having already agreed to race the Costa Rican Championship down south, Ben know finds himself participating in
two different professional series spanning two different countries. As a result of the previous engagements, Ben will
only be able to make nine rounds this summer, already having missed the first round at high point. With a weekly schedule until well into August, Ben will have to capitalize on his appearances due to having less opportunities at points than his fellow competitors. If that wasn’t enough to deal with, Lamay is even riding a different bike in Costa Rica, thus making the adjustments from week to week that much more challenging. Through the three races he’s entered, it hasn’t been all that easy for Lamay but the hard charging Alaskan has put in three top twenty moto’s and sets 23rd in points.
