Yvonne’s thoughts with words – 22 May 2016 (plus 2020 addendum)

NETWORKING without WIFI, cabling, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all the other ‘things’ used by so many in
          today’s (2016) world.

As I was riding along today my thoughts were about the Network of Life. So much input we as humans have
(without the power of electricity). We have the powerful input of family, so many on and off switches are surged
daily into our lives via our family unit(s). sometimes we want to turn the ‘off’ button on! but mostly we want the
‘on’ button on to listen to, share, enjoy our family(s) thoughts, expressions etc. to be able to laugh together,
sometimes cry together and feel comfortable, that is I think what a true family can share without
          embarrassment.

The powerful connection of friends cannot be undermined. How often are our moods lifted, like sitting in a
calmly lit room, just by a conversation shared with someone we know so well, no matter the topic, be it a happy
or sad one. T share these times with a close friend are special times.

Even more powerful, when the lights are really ‘turned on’, is sharing your thoughts, worries, (no matter how big
or small) with that REALLY special person in your life. (ie husband, wife, brother, sister, friend etc). That special
person who really understands YOU. The YOU that you are and always have been and always will be. That special
someone who doesn’t want to change you, they love YOU as you really are.

I hope that sometime in your lives you sit back and think – YES, I have all the above and how grateful I am to have
these special Networks in my life. Yvonne

A September 2020 addendum: from March, Covid-19 has changed our lives. Who would have thought we would
be needing to "live" this way. With ISO, lockdown etc, so many restrictions we have had to live with.

How much Networking has been needed - via WhatsApp, Facetime and Zoom - to keep in touch with our family
and friends? Fortunately, we do have these means of keeping in touch NOW when they are needed. It certainly
has been a great way to keep in touch with WCI friends, who at this time, we are unable to see or ride with.

          Warm regards Yvonne
