Just a reminder....Remember there are two separate enti- ties. SHA (Shenandoah Homeowners Association - $30/ year voluntary) is the homeowners association respon- sible for beautification, legal matters regarding building ordinances, etc. SECPID (Shenandoah Estates Crime Protection & Improvement District - $50/year property tax) is the association responsible for security patrols and improvements, like lights & license plate cameras.

Obviously, more involvement is the SHA is great for everyone but just be aware that these are two -separate- groups and operate independently as required by law.

Since SECPID, my house has been burglarized. I
don’t see patrols, but I have gotten a ticket for parking in front of my house. I talked to a rep from the local councilman’s office, and they said they complained when they couldn’t write parking tickets after the flood. I’ll fight any effort to pay more for “patrols.” However, if you want to start an organized neighborhood watch, count me in!

AMEN Michelle....it’s all “feel good” stuff. I’ve written the HOA several times about the ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE GUY....who happens to live BEHIND me...about his two out buildings that are up against the fence. NO ANSWER. This guy even put in a pool and raised his yard about 8-inches so my yard floods everytime it rains. Everything here is a JOKE. Only problem is that we are paying for it.

you and I have had conversations before. So I’ll just drop it. Michelle, I am sorry you were burglarized. It’s been running around and even my boss on Perkins Rd between Bluff & Highland (I mean, MAJOR traffic throughway) was burglarized again for the second time in as many years at 9 AM in the morning. I have a video front door bell so I see patrols all the time when they set it off.. Often it is around 2AM or early morning. How are you looking for patrols? I am not a member
of the SECPID governing body, but I do advocate for them on this board because I believe in the service
