There really seemed to be no solution to this problem and I. M.’s parents were very sad.
Then one day, I. M.’s mother returned to the nest with something stuck in her wing feathers. She had been to the town dump looking for something good to eat. She left there and had not noticed that something was stuck in her feathers.
I.M. noticed it and asked his mother “What is that in your wing feathers?” His mother pulled it out of her feathers with her beak and dropped it on the floor of the nest. She recognized it but before she could tell I.M. the name of the object, he said, “Oh mother it is so beautiful may I have it.”
