Page 13 - G-Truthful Turtle
P. 13

Unlike Terry, Tanya did not need “Honest Blue” to keep her truthful. Tanya’s “Honest Blue” is the conversations she has with herself when deciding to be truthful. “It is my fault that I went to the skate board park instead of studying. I was irresponsible and I will tell my father what happened. If he punishes me, I can deal with it and I will never do this again.”
Tanya will not be happy about doing poorly on the test or that her father will be disappointed in her. But she will not make herself afraid of what might happen, “If he punishes me. I can deal with it.”
Tanya knows that she made a mistake and that she should learn from that mistake, “and I will never do this again.” Being successful in life is not possible if you refuse to take responsibility and if you are quick to blame others. It is also not possible if you avoid the consequences of your behaviors.
Being truthful will make you brave and others will recognize that you can be trusted, which will cause them to admire you. All of this will happen because you are a Truthful Turtle.
