Public Works Report – Ray Domingue – Jones Creek project –still waiting on manhole covers. O’Neal Lane construction project – cones will be removed by end of this week, landscaping will be done by Thursday. Speed limit on both roads is still 35 MPH.
Website Report – Ed Craig – Visits to the website are very consistent, averaging 55 individual people who visit it each day. Each one visits an average of 3 pages. We have to keep the information current and it must change regularly to be successful. Want to double these numbers next year. Some ideas suggested were a recipe section to culminate in a compilation cookbook printed at the end of the year and a section to post garage sales, etc.

St. George Fire Department Thanks Community Partners and Citizens for Food and Toys Collected
By: Eldon Ledoux, St. George Fire PIO
The Annual Santa Claus parades were again held on the first two weekends of December. Santa Claus rode through the neighborhoods of the St. George Fire Protection District atop a fire engine.
The Fire Department has again partnered with the Society of St. Vincent DePaul for the collection and distribution of food and toys to those most needy within our community. The Department cannot extend thanks enough to St. Vincent de Paul and its volunteers. They have a long history of service to our community, and the St. George Fire Department is proud to have worked with them.
This year’s parades collected over 7 tons of food and hundreds of toys over two weekends.
The Santa Parades are a long-standing St. George Fire Department tradition. They have become the Department’s largest philanthropic effort, and one that many people look very forward to every year. The tradition goes back to St. George FD’s early volunteer days when members paraded Santa Claus through their own neighborhoods for the benefit of their children.
