Long Island Women’s Dental Symposium—”Scrubs & Stilettos”
On November 4th the 13th annual Long Island Women’s dental Symposium, Scrubs & Stilettos” was held at
the Heritage Club at the Bethpage Golf Course. Approximately 100 women dentists, dental residents and
students attended the event. They enjoyed a full breakfast buffet, followed by a moving speech by Keynote
Speaker Dr. Nicole McGrath-Barnes, founder of the KinderSmile foundation. Afterwards Dr. Reneida Reyes
received the 2022 Distinguished Service Award. Then the attendees broke out for 3 rounds of Round Table
discussions. They had a choice of 12 different topics including “Robotic Assisted Implant Dentistry”,
“Immediate Tooth Replacement Therapy”, and “A Better Way to a Better You.” There were several raffles
during the event and a 50/50 raffle raised $1000 for Dr. McGrath-Barnes’ KinderSmile Foundation.
