Dedication of the Mark J. Feldman, DMD Memorial Board Room

On December 1, 2022 a ceremony was held at our headquarters officially dedicating our Board Room in
memory of our friend and colleague, Dr. Mark Feldman. For those of you who may not have known Mark,
he was an outstanding leader in Organized Dentistry. Starting out as NCDS President in 1988, going on to
become Treasurer and eventually President of both NYSDA and the ADA. Finally becoming NYSDA
Executive Director in 2009 until his passing in 2021. We had over 50 guests in attendance, including many
past NCDS presidents and dignitaries from throughout the state, many of whom got up to share memories
of Mark. In addition, Mark’s two sons, Sean and Eric Feldman attended the event and presented NCDS
with the gavel their father received when he became NCDS President 34 years ago. The gavel will be
displayed beneath his plaque in the Board Room.
