In Our Society 2023 Officers’ Installation

On January 21, 2023 the Nassau County Dental Society not only celebrated our Officer Installation Gala, we
also celebrated our 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee at the Crest Hollow Country Club. Congratulations
to our 2023 line officers: Dr. Steve Akseizer, President; Dr. Doug Schildhaus, President-Elect; Dr. Elyse
Patrella, Vice-President; Dr. Maureen Tredwell, Secretary; and Dr. Don Hills, Treasurer who were installed
by past NYSDA and NCDS President Dr. David Miller. Congratulations also go to Dr. Howard Weiner, who
received the Herbert Taub Distinguished Service Award and to Dr. Peter Glavas who received the NCDS
Humanitarian Award. The evening was highlighted by all our officers and award recipients being presented
with a U.S House of Representatives Certificate of Recognition from 4th District US Congressman Anthony
D’Esposito. There were 15 NCDS Presidents on hand for a group photo to mark our 75th Anniversary to
hang in the Board Room, as we did for the 50th and 60th Anniversaries. In addition, a presentation was
made reviewing NCDS’s 75 year history in words and pictures. A special thank you to NYSDA Executive Di-

rector, Greg Hill and NYSDA President, Dr. Jim Galati for their attendance and presentations. Everyone who
attended received a Commemorative Journal and a stemless wine glass with our 75th Anniversary Logo.
