Presenters Guidelines: All presentation proposals should include:
1. Brief bio for each speaker (no more than 1 page)
2. Title of Presentation
3. Presentation Format (Instructional Course, Hands-on Breakout, Case Study, or Best Practice)
4. Length of Presentation: (1 hour, 2-3-hour, half-day etc.)
5. Objectives of Presentation (at least 3)
6. Target Audience (if the presentation is focused on a particular discipline)
7. Presentation Summary (no more than 400 words)
8. Special AV, equipment, or patient demonstration needs
9. Are you a recipient of the National Veterans Sports Program and Special Events Adaptive Sport Grant?
*Note: Grantees should not use grant funds to participate in the national rehab events.
10. Are you promoting a specific product, vendor or company? If yes, please provide additional
information.
11. Prefer presenters who are registered as a coach or in an official role in support of the 40th National
Veterans Wheelchair Games or live in the Portland area. VA travel to present at these educational
sessions will be limited.
Presentation formats may include:
• Topic-based Instructional Courses (60-minute sessions)
• Topic-based Instructional Course followed by hands-on sessions (preferred) (2-3 hours)
• Case studies/series on unique or complex management considerations
• Performance improvement and best practice initiatives
