Employment Opportunity for Disabled Veterans
PVA’s employment program, Paving Access for Veteran Employment (PAVE), recently met with an Pearl
Interactive Network (PIN) about some great opportunities for veterans, theirs spouses, and caregivers in
the Tempe, AZ area.
Pearl Interactive Network (PIN) is a woman owned small business that provides multichannel contact
center services solutions with a focus on building a workforce of disabled veterans, veterans, military
spouses and people with disabilities. PIN has been a long time, successful partner of the PAVE program.
They specialize in consultative, compassionate and often complex interactions supporting beneficiaries,
employees and citizens in healthcare and government services.
With the Census fast approaching in April 2020, there are lots of great opportunities for veterans,
caregivers and spouses to gain new skills and work experiences.
If you are receiving Social Security Disability benefits, this would be a wonderful opportunity to explore
work without fear of losing any benefits. Work with the Census would be less than nine months.
According to SSA's "trial work period" you can attempt work (no income limit) without any change to
your SSDI for 9 months every 5 years.
Pearl Interactive Network, Inc. is currently hiring 750 Customer Service Representatives for their new
call center in Tempe, AZ. For more information about these opportunities, please reach out to Joan
Haskins, a PVA and PAVE Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor.
Her contact information is: joanh@pva.org or 562-676-4347
