This Act was assigned into law in June of 2018. This Act provisions
established a process for the VA to develop recommendations. The VA
finalized the criteria in May of 2021. VA conducted 96 Market
Assessments. The purpose of these were to understand the availability of
VA and community Health Care Resources to meet current needs of our

veterans. Many VA facilities were inspected, and a lot of recommendations
were made. There were a lot of questionable recommendations made. A
new person has taken over the lead on this and has a better perspective on
what the VA needs.
