Gary Drumheller 1944-2020

I met Gary about 30 years ago when I was new to Phoenix and a friend told me about him when I
needed a haircut. He said Gary's Place is not a salon it's a Barber Shop where you can have a beer or
read a magazine (Playboy) and you have to make an appointment he doesn't take walk-ins. As I
soon found out Gary had a long list of loyal clients so you had to make an appointment sometimes
weeks in advance to see him. Gary became my barber for the next ten years until life took us in
different directions.

Well about 15 years later I was volunteering down at the Arizona PVA and Gary shows up with a
truckload of medical equipment that he collects and donates to the Chapter. We smiled and
hugged like long lost friends and for the next 3 years I saw him every few weeks when he would
bring equipment down to donate.

Gary touched the lives of so many people and I am proud to call him my friend and I will miss him.
