Flip-top table with a serpentine front with ovolo corners, veneered and inlaid frieze, and tapered legs with inlaid cuffs.

While not made in Louisiana, this table has a provenance thtaplaces it in the region during the period, and supports the commentary of John Pintard (in New Orleans in 1801), "The furniture is generally very plain- But American manufactured chairs and tea tables are getting into vogue." The table is illustrated inHolden et al, Furnishing Louisiana, p. 106.
