                                  FALL TERM I 2025 TAKE-HOME CYKD ASSESSMENT JOURNAL

              1.  ASSIGNED TEXTBOOK QUESTIONS: For example, each student is required to complete the two written
                 responses* (short essay/sentence format) to the assigned textbook chapter/case questions.   You will be assigned “odd
                 or even question numbers.  Please apply the key concepts from your reading to support your response.  You may also
                 use additional resources/ references to support your thought and opinion.
                 FYI: Essay question defined as: an examination question that requires an answer in a sentence, paragraph, or short composition.

              2.  BOOK CLUB:   Reflect on the assigned book readings.  Reflections will be required at each of the five assignment
                 intervals.

              3.   TEAM TERM PROJECT UPDATES:   Provide updates on what you and your fellow team member have completed
                  for your team term project.  You may provide your notes, key terms used for the term project.
                       Reflections will be required at each of the five assignment intervals.


              4.      CYKD TOP TEN CONCEPTS WORKSHEET.   Complete and submit your “top ten concepts” worksheets on
                  assigned due dates.

              þ  Reminder 1: Please refer to the detailed course outline, assignment table/selected questions, and rubric, scheduled
                 assignment dates/time due.
              þ  Reminder 2:   You may opt out of ONE-chapter assignments on a specific date.  Note: You are still required to
                 complete the readings, however no written write-up is required.  State “opt out” in your CYKD assignment report.
              þ  Reminder 3:  If you are a facilitator for an assignment, you may also opt out of the written homework assignment (see
                 below).   You must still complete your facilitator assignment requirements.


              «FACILITATORS«

              þ  If you are the student facilitators, you are required to present, lead, facilitate (ask the questions, probe for answers), and
                 review the assigned course readings and questions.
              þ  Please review the facilitator rubric prior to beginning this assignment.
              þ  If you are a facilitator, you do not have to submit a written homework assignment.  The facilitators must submit a
                 PowerPoint® to Canvas®.
              þ  Upload your PowerPoint® and any other sources to Canvas® used the day the assignment is due.


              «ALL STUDENTS«

              þ  You must read the required reading each week. Even if you opt out of the assignments, you are required to read the
                 questions / cases and be ready to discuss.
              þ  Missed assignments cannot be made up.
