DESCRIPTION: FACILITATOR BOOK CLUB (WHEELER & MEYERSON, 2024)
þ The student facilitator will be required to present, lead, facilitate, and review the assigned “Book Club”
readings.
þ The student facilitator will engage, facilitate discussion, and then share with the class how they reviewed the:
(1) assigned reading for the day (BRIEF overview), e.g., six key concepts from the Book Club reading and (2)
facilitate and develop discussion questions on the assigned readings.
þ Be creative on how you want to present and facilitate the Book Club reading material.
þ The student facilitator will NOT be required to submit a word document for the facilitator assignment. The
facilitator is only required to submit PowerPoint® or other presentation materials to CANVAS®.
þ Professional smart business attire is expected.
þ Set-up: Upload your PowerPoint® (if applicable) and any additional handout materials (if applicable) to the
CANVAS® folder entitled, “Book Club Fashionary (2021)” prior to the due date/time.
þ Missed assignments cannot be made up. Students with a valid excuse (e.g., medical) for missing the
assignment may make-up by arrangement. Students who miss the assignment deadline without an acceptable
excuse will receive a zero.
