Somerdale Lodge of Mark Master Masons
The Somerdale Lodge of Mark Master Masons held a meeting on
th
the 17 January at Keynsham Masonic Hall and on this occasion
the Worshipful Master RWB David Nelson had the great privilege of
welcoming RWB John Prizemen the Deputy Grand Master to the
meeting. The Deputy Grand Master was paying a private visit to
Somerdale Lodge at the invitation of the Worshipful Master as they
had both held the office of Provincial Grand Master at the same
time. RWB John Prizeman had been the Provincial Grand Master of
the Mark Province of Hampshire & Isle of Wight before his
appointment as Assistant Grand Master and subsequent promotion
to Deputy Grand Master.
Also attending the meeting was the Provincial Grand Master for Somerset RW B Phillip
Voisey and his Officers of the year, together with many other guests and visitors. One old
Soak not to be named suggested that he had not seen so much brass since he had gone
into the Pawn Brokers in Bristol!
The Candidate for Advancement Brother Daniel Allen said he gratefully appreciated what
a wonderful meeting, with a wonderful evening of fellowship and a lovely ceremony which
he had thoroughly enjoyed and was very impressed with all the Brethren who had taken
part in the ceremony.
The Worshipful Master RWB David Nelson was elected to serve another year as WM as
the Lodge thinks he may get it right after 24 months in the Chair.
