Theboy'svarsitybasketballteamhadatryingstartto the season, losing it's home opener to Sacred Heart Prep by eight points, but quickly bounced back with a strong win over Eastside Prep for their second game. Led by the team captains Andy Isopeki (12) and Tyler Woods(12),theteamlookstostrivetowardsanoffense driven by passing and teamwork. “We play best when we sharetheball”saidNicoArslaner(10).SocttHarris(11) ledtheteaminscoringwhilealsoimprovingotherfacets of his game such as passing and defense. Seniors Samuel Ogunleye (12) and Andy Isopeki have led the attackinside,providingrebounds,clocksandimportant buckets. “when we attack inside, we are unstoppable”
claimsCoachDavidMoseley.MichaelRappaport (11), Nicholas Arslaner and Zach Weiss (10) provide ethe energy, defense and shooting to help propel the team forwards to the playoffs. JV basketball also had a strong year full of grit and tough plays. Grant Phelps(10)andMatthewBoyle(10)ledtheteam with excellent guard play, while Lucas Harris(9) poundedtheballinsideallseason.Theteamwasled byasquadoffivesophomoreswhokeptspiritshigh all season. The rest of the roster was filled with with a slew of new freshman that brought lots of energy anddefenseintothemixture.
