In situ hybridization is most suitable because it gives information about the location of
the transcript. The other three techniques can be used for gross spatial information by
dissecting the tissue. For e.g if a gene is expressed in the hippocampus, separating the
cortex hippocampus and cerebellum will give some spatial information. But in situ hyb
will give detailed and direct spatial information.
