          This shows us that the circuit diagram, of Figure 41-23, can be reduced to a single
          resistance of 153.8 ohms and a series capacitance with a reactance of 360.7 ohms.

          HOW DOES AN ANTENNA TUNER WORK?


          The purpose of an antenna tuner is to match impedances between a source and a
          load. The source could be a radio transmitter and the load either the antenna or the
          input of a transmission line. Matching source to load ensures maximum power
          transfer to the load. Antenna tuners do this by using a combination of adjustable
          capacitors and inductors. The following problem (Figure 41-24) was requested by a
          student of RES. The request was to prove using complex math that the "L" high-pass
          filter matches the complex load impedance of 28j208Ω to a 50Ω source impedance.
