In addition, regulations currently under preparation include: (Draft) Ministerial Regulation on Land Use that May Affect Public Water Resources, B.E. .%u2026 (under Section 74), being prepared by the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning; and (Draft) Ministerial Regulation on the Conservation of Public Water Resources in Wetlands to Prevent Their Deterioration, Loss of Benefits, or Pollution, B.E. .%u2026 (under Section 78), being prepared by the Department of Water Resources. These draft regulations are being expedited, and once enforced, will further enhance the efficiency of water resources management. It can be seen that the intention of the Water Resources Act,B.E. 2561 (2018) is to achieve integrated, systematic, and participatory water resources management involvingall relevant sectors, establishing criteria to ensure the fundamental rights of the people to access public water resources with good governance.
